According to Sheikh Umar Farooq, the decision is right as the growth of the solar sector is more important than oil. Being a leader in the solar field will reduce the country’s carbon output, which is currently at 20 tones, which is way more harmful.
Dubai has recently launched an initiative named ‘Clean Energy Dubai 2020’, where they’ll try to become the country with everything green as an option. According to Sheikh Umar Farooq Zahoor, the initiative will also help bring more jobs in the country, and more people will be employed.
